Short film ‘Double’ finds way to Iranian filmfest in Prague

Iranian short film ‘Double’ is to go to ÍRÁN:CI Film Festival in Prague.

Ronak Jafari’s short film ‘Double’ has found way to the 8th edition of the ÍRÁN:CI Film Festival in Prague.

The short film revolves around two women trekking a long road to a village.

As it is written in the ÍRÁN:CI festival’s website “trying to find her way to a film set, a young actress gets derailed into a journey as bizarre as the film she is about to act in”.

Sahra Asadollahi, Banafsheh Araabi, Houman Rahnamoun, Toufan Mehrdadian, Alireza Pourhashem, Behnam Momeni, Shima Khazaei, Dorsa Abolfazli, and Amir Shahverdi are among the cast.

‘Double’ has gone on screen at a number of global film events, including the 40th Moscow International Film Festival in Russia where it has been named among the three best short films.

The short has also received two nominations at the North Europe International Film Festival «Fusion».

The ÍRÁN:CI Film Festival put together some of the best works of Iranian cinema that are immortal. The purpose is to protect the films that help people to realize that they still can dream beyond mortal daily life.

The 8th edition of the ÍRÁN:CI Film Festival is to be held on January 15-26, 2019, in three cities of Prague, Brno and Bratislava.
